The deployments have several characteristics: short-term deployment at short notice, water-related, and aimed at support in emergency situations. An example of a regular deployment is providing hydrological advice, for instance in the Bidi Bidi refugee camp in northwestern Uganda. Other examples are setting up a drainage design toolbox to reduce floods, landslides and related damage, supporting a WASH expert in Mauritania with knowledge on solar energy (remote support), and the deployment of an Information Manager in Cameroon.
