On December 8 and December 15 from 15:00 – 17:00 (CET), the Dutch Surge Support (DSS) and the 510 Data Initiative of the Netherlands Red Cross organizes two digital workshops ‘WASH Information Management Basic and ‘Mobile Data Collection during an Emergency’. These workshops aim to broaden the understanding on the use of Information Management during a deployment.
During the workshops you will get an introduction on the disaster information cycle, difference between data and information, mobile data collection and data responsibility within an emergency. It will be a two hour digital event in which the above mentioned topics will be introduced and discussed with you in an interactive and inspiring way. The workshop will invite you to share and learn from experiences and challenges related to creating a safe environment in the field.
Did you miss our previous trainings on WASH Information Management Basic? And are you a water or MHPSS professional, interested in international humanitarian responses and would you like to be deployed through DSS? This is your chance to subscribe to one of these sessions now!
The ‘WASH Information Management Basics’ workshop aims to broaden your understanding on how to communicate your data into understandable information. Within this session we will give you a sneak-peak into the use of Information Management during your deployment and make use of real-case datasets from previous deployments and practical use-case.
Within the 2nd workshop ‘Mobile Data Collection during an Emergency’ we will focus and deep-dive into the mobile data collection methods, including exercises on survey design and play around with different technicalities in Kobo toolbox and with XLS-Forms.
